Creative Director

TradeMark Media, an award-winning interactive agency, is seeking to fill the full-time position of Creative Director. The Creative Director will lead visual design and branding efforts and will partner with internal and external teams to ensure project quality and stakeholder satisfaction. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who will help us improve our processes and grow our company in a sustainable way.

Job Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage a team of experienced visual designers.
  • Lead internal and external design and brand strategy efforts, including project communication and presentations.
  • Produce creative and innovative Web and print designs that meet client and stakeholder goals and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with User Experience, Project Management, Development, and Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Contribute significantly to company publications and presentations.
  • Contribute significantly to business development efforts, including sales presentations.
  • Review and improve existing internal systems and processes.
  • Other tasks as necessary to make you and the company more successful.

Expectations

The Creative Director will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A positive attitude with team members and customers.
  • Expertise in creative team management.
  • Highly developed leadership, organizational, collaboration, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Significant experience managing project communication, budgets, and scope for multiple projects.
  • Expert knowledge of best practices and standards related to visual design and branding.
  • Expertise leading stakeholders through visual design strategy, brand strategy, and discovery phases.
  • A history of successfully managing multiple duties in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.

Requirements

The Creative Director must meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years in team leadership.
  • 10+ years in visual design, UX design, or related fields.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree preferred, but not required.
  • A diverse skill set with ability to design across multiple disciplines and industries.
  • Knowledge of current industry standards including those that apply to information architecture and development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver and accept honest criticism.
  • Significant experience creating Web design deliverables, including experience creating design concepts for responsive/mobile environments.
  • Significant experience creating brand standards and branding deliverables for print and Web.
  • Expert level experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and other common productivity tools such as Google Drive, Salesforce, chat programs, and project management systems.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to manage time effectively; and focus on details.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as project scopes and project proposals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • The ability to work independently or with our collaborative team, without close supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions.
  • Able to work in an office or home environment as well as to travel to potential client offices.
  • Able to work flexible hours to meet customer/client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed specific goals.
  • Experience leading business initiatives in professional setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide information about the organization to diverse groups of people.
  • Willing to take responsibility and share ideas for improvement of agency work.

Potential Contract Positions

TradeMark Media may not have immediate openings for the following positions but we are always accepting resumes for highly talented Web Programmers, Developers, and Designers.

Web Programmers

As a Web programmer working for TradeMark Media, your job duties will include coding complex Web applications and integrating third-party tools such as content management systems and e-commerce systems. You must be proficient in PHP/MySQL

Drupal Developers

Drupal developers working for TradeMark Media are responsible for integrating client websites with the Drupal CMS. They also have an in-depth knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS. Other programming languages and application knowledge are a plus.

ExpressionEngine Developers

ExpressionEngine developers working for TradeMark Media are responsible for integrating client websites with the Expression Engine CMS. They also have an in-depth knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS. Other programming languages and application knowledge are a plus.

Web Developers

Web developers working for TradeMark Media understand and have the ability to develop user friendly Web interfaces. Must have an in-depth knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, and Dreamweaver. Other programming languages and application knowledge are a plus.

Web Designers

Web designers working for TradeMark Media understand and have the ability to design creative,  engaging, and usable Web interfaces. Must have an introductory knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS. Other programming languages and application knowledge are a plus.
