New to RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It's a system that allows you to consolidate all of your news sources into an RSS reader. An RSS reader is a piece of software or a browser plug-in that will go out and search all of your news sources for updated stories and content.
RSS will change how you read news on the Internet. Instead of going to a bunch of different Web sites to find information, you'll just open up your RSS reader and all of the latest stories are presented to you in one place.

- Choose an RSS reader. Here are some options (most of them are free):
- Google Reader
- Yahoo! RSS
- Pluck
- NewsGator
- FeedDemon
- Wizz RSS News Reader (FireFox Extension)
- Newz Crawler
- Bloglines
There are tons more. Just do a search for "RSS Reader" and see what you find.
- Install your RSS reader of choice.
- Go to your favorite news site and subscribe to its RSS feed. When you click on the link, you'll usually be presented with an XML page that looks like a bunch of code. Just copy the URL then go to your RSS reader and input that URL when you are subscribing to the feed (every RSS reader works a little bit differently here).
