the challenge
Andrew Harper, a high-end travel agency and travel publication, came to TradeMark Media for website strategy, design, and development. Their current website was built on outdated technology and used a design that wasn't flexible, consistent or user-friendly. Plus, the agency's demanding client based wanted more features that would add value to their membership.
the solution
TradeMark Media went through an extensive strategy, design and development process with Andrew Harper staff. We started by conducting strategy sessions where we discussed target audience groups and goals for the new site. The result was a strategic brief that guided all design and development decisions going forward.
Next, we engaged our client through several architecture sessions where each key page layout was carefully planned and designed. Our team used wireframes, sitemaps and other architecture documents to communicate layout elements and get buy-in from the client's team
After the site architecture was approved, several design concepts were created and presented. Our design team worked closely with the client's art director to revise the design concepts until they were approved.
Finally, TradeMark Media developers integrated everything that was designed into a powerful, open-source content management system. We worked directly with Andrew Harper's internal IT staff to set up all site features and functionality.
The result of this project is a beautiful, easy-to-use, robust website that puts travel destinations and exclusive content at center stage. Now members get more value for their subscription: they can access restricted articles, book destinations online, discussion destinations with other members and access special offers. The site is also more flexible and scalable, allowing our client to manage the site more efficiently and expand the site as business and customer needs change.
