On October 13, TradeMark Media participated in the 10th annual Accessibility Internet Rally, put on by Knowbility. During AIR-Austin, local non-profit organizations team up with Web design teams to create new Web sites or enhance existing ones to make them more accessible for people with disabilities. TradeMark worked with TiE Austin, a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, to create a brand new site to be launched this winter. TradeMark had two weeks to consult with TiE Austin, plan the new Web site, and prepare for the eight-hour rally, during which the entire site had to be built.

This was TradeMark Media’s sixth year participating in AIR-Austin. TradeMark President Nick Weynand says, “By competing in the Accessibility Internet Rally every year, our team stays up-to-date with the latest in accessible technology.  We also have the benefit of helping a non-profit create an accessible Web site.  The rally benefits us, the non-profit and everyone who uses the site we create.  It’s a great event for everyone involved.”  TradeMark Media earned first place at AIR-Austin in 2002, placed in 2004 and 2005, and eagerly awaits this year’s award ceremony.

While the entire staff participated in preparation for AIR-Austin, TradeMark Media would also like to acknowledge the help of two of its contractors, Joel Skotak and Jonathan Horak, who donated their time to help with the planning and creation of the new TiE Austin site.
