Biography

Nick Weynand is the founder, president and strategy director for TradeMark Media, an award-winning interactive agency. Nick started the company in 1999 while earning his degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1999, Nick has dedicated his time at TradeMark Media to building a company that supports the highest Web standards in the industry. Through Nick's leadership, TradeMark Media is committed to building professional, cutting-edge interactive media that helps clients achieve and exceed their business goals.

Nick now provides strategy consulting for clients and manages the business activities of TradeMark Media. He's a firm believer in accessible, usable Web design and feels he has an obligation to make the Internet a better place. Nick speaks regularly on topics from interactive design to small business administration.

Nick spends his free time volunteering for various organizations and is currently a board member and the operations committee chair for EmanciPET, an Austin-based animal welfare organization. Nick lives in southwest Austin with his wife, Courtney, his daughter, Eisley and his dog, Heidi. He enjoys cooking, reading and anything outdoors.

Biography

Gina comes to TradeMark Media with a background in sales and marketing. Her experience includes growing client relationships, effectively communicating brand messages to her clients and customers as well as planning and strategy implementation.

As the Business Development Director, Gina is plugged in to the Austin community and builds and develops relationships with potential and current clients. She also monitors the goals of the company’s growth and helps strategize business development as well as marketing opportunities that are in line with the vision of the company.

Gina has worked at Seiko Instruments as their National Sales Manager for their Licensed Watch Brand division where she increased brand exposure through sales incentive programs, e-mail marketing campaigns and social media platforms. She also worked for Nike as their Global Travel Retail Sales Manager for their Vision, Timing and Tech Division identifying new market segments and significantly expanding their existing customer and distributor base by utilizing effective selling techniques and marketing strategies.

Gina lives in northwest Austin with her husband, Ron, and their son, Jonah. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, going to see live music, watching movies and hiking.

Biography

As TradeMark Media's User Experience Director, Janis oversees the design phase of projects and consults with clients on site architecture, content strategy and design. He's an expert in information architecture, usability and has an eye for Web sites that look great.

Janis's career started in 1998 during a college course for Sports Journalism in Hamburg, Germany. Soon after, he began designing and developing Web sites and graphics for friends and family. In 1999 he moved from Hamburg to Tallahassee, Florida, where he worked at the Learning Systems Institute (LSI), a research foundation which is part of the Florida State University. Over the years his work focused more and more towards the development of Web sites and applications, but also included responsibilities in the area of usability testing, print design, and project management.

Janis lives in North Austin, with his wife Amie, daughter Naya, their cat, Lucie, and dog, Gus. In his spare time he puts his nose in wine books and glasses, makes sausages with Mike, runs, and enjoys good food.

Biography

Mike has been interested in technology since he created his first program on an Apple IIe in the third grade. He earned his CIS degree from Texas State where he learned valuable skills in business application consulting and development. While at the university, Mike completed several complex Web applications for use by various departments.

Mike joined TradeMark Media in 2002. He currently manages all programming and database development consulting and requirements for our team, and he occasionally finds therapeutic relief coding XHTML/CSS layouts and user interfaces. Mike has also created online stores, personnel directories, online registration systems, and other robust applications utilizing his diverse skill set. Mike completed Zend PHP Training as well as advanced and multi-media accessibility training through Knowbility.

Mike lives in central Austin. His activities of interest include bike riding, travel, racquetball, poker, making t-shirts, and renaming other people's pets.
