Biography

Nick Weynand is the founder, president and strategy director for TradeMark Media, an award-winning interactive agency. Nick started the company in 1999 while earning his degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1999, Nick has dedicated his time at TradeMark Media to building a company that supports the highest Web standards in the industry. Through Nick's leadership, TradeMark Media is committed to building professional, cutting-edge interactive media that helps clients achieve and exceed their business goals.

Nick now provides strategy consulting for clients and manages the business activities of TradeMark Media. He's a firm believer in accessible, usable Web design and feels he has an obligation to make the Internet a better place. Nick speaks regularly on topics from interactive design to small business administration.

Nick spends his free time volunteering for various organizations and is currently a board member and the operations committee chair for EmanciPET, an Austin-based animal welfare organization. Nick lives in southwest Austin with his wife, Courtney, his daughter, Eisley and his dog, Heidi. He enjoys cooking, reading and anything outdoors.

Biography

Jean brings a unique background of marketing and communication skills to TradeMark Media. Her experience encompasses design and communication work in print and on the Web, including contributions to award-winning publications like Texas Shores and ADDitude Magazine.

As business development director, Jean keeps her finger on the pulse of the Austin community and fosters relationships with potential and current clients. She also monitors the goals of the company's growth and helps strategize business development opportunities that are in line with the vision of the company.

Jean has worked at UT Austin where she implemented marketing strategies for prospective students through the creation of collateral, logos, branding and a Web campaign. She also worked as a design manager at Harcourt Achieve where she led creative teams through the conception and completion of dynamic education products and programs.

Jean is an alumna of Leadership Austin's 2007 Emerge Class and currently serves as the President for the Austin Chapter of The American Marketing Association.

Jean lives in East Austin with her husband, Bill, their dog, Tom, and several lively garden gnomes. She enjoys networking, running, watching movies at the Alamo Drafthouse, traveling, and cheering for Carolina basketball. Jean and Bill are expecting a baby boy in May 2009.

Biography

As the user experience director for TradeMark Media, Caroling handles site architecture and oversees the design process.

Caroling has a varied background in media with experience in television development, Web design and photography. She has worked for Discovery Networks International as a Program Evaluator, reviewing treatments and acquisitions for international programming schedules.

Her Web experience began in 1999 as an associate producer for Discovery Health Channel's converged television network. She continued as a producer for the creative services arm of AppliedTheory, a web design and technology company located outside of Washington, DC.

Caroling lives in east Austin with her pug, Rothko. She enjoys poker, snowboarding, politics, movies, cooking/food, eating crab, photography and travel.

Biography

Mike has been interested in technology since he created his first program on an Apple IIe in the third grade. He earned his CIS degree from Texas State where he learned valuable skills in business application consulting and development. While at the university, Mike completed several complex Web applications for use by various departments.

Mike joined TradeMark Media in 2002. He currently manages all programming and database development consulting and requirements for our team, and he occasionally finds therapeutic relief coding XHTML/CSS layouts and user interfaces. Mike has also created online stores, personnel directories, online registration systems, and other robust applications utilizing his diverse skill set. Mike completed Zend PHP Training as well as advanced and multi-media accessibility training through Knowbility.

Mike lives in central Austin. His activities of interest include bike riding, travel, racquetball, poker, making t-shirts, and renaming other people's pets.
